I have a 3080 and have all frame gen tech turned off, and still, almost every game I play can hit 60+ fps and 2k resolution, a lot can do 144. I get your point, but it’s greatly exaggerated.

ASUS used to be the goat brand. They have since enshittified, and the biggest hit was their customer service. It’s 100% ass now. The product itself is really hit or miss now too.

Maybe that’s the point I meant to make clearer. 8k, even compressed would take more bandwidth, or it’s going to be compressed so much that it totally defeats the purpose of 8k content.

How about uncompressed 4k before going to even more compression 8k. I have seen uncompressed 8k content on an 8k TV. I couldn’t tell the difference between it and a good quality 4k picture, and I’m admittedly a quality snob. I can tell the difference in 1080 vs 4k pretty easily even on cheap tvs, it’s just virtually non existent at 8k vs 4k in tv sizes up to 80 inch beyond viewing inches away from the screen.

It will be even worse than before. Texas hasn’t added any power generating capacity outside of the devil that is solar and wind. Solar and wind are the only reasons we haven’t seen the rolling blackouts for a few years now. Texas is even trying to make it harder to add more solar and wind, so it will strain even more.

This is going to feel like the recycle scam isn’t it. Corpos sucking down every last drop of energy while residential will be asked to turn up the thermostat in the summer and down in the winter so we “do our part”.

It’s geared at streaming your gaming session from a remote pc. Extremely low latency and works like a dream. I use it to stream my gaming pc to my xbox, but it will stream anything your pc does.

So we all agree that “if demanded” ANYONE’S data can be spied on. Doesn’t matter where.

Death Stranding 2. I’m taking my sweet ass time with this game. Absolutely love it.

Decided to test the Warframe waters. Only about 2 hours in, it seems pretty good so far. I’m still trying to see how much grind there really is once the intro is over.

He Is Coming - I’ve been able to make it to day 3 already, but the game feels a little shallow. Not ready to drop it yet, but will see.
