Chat control does not protect children.

Chat control is a way for governments to stay in front of any dissent and organizing efforts from it’s citizens. This makes it safer and easier to take away rights and ultimately gives a path away from democracy.

Similarly, chat control is about staying on top of dissent and stop people organizing. Governments don’t like being caught with their pants down.

For the things AI is good at, like reading documentation, one should just get a local model and be done.

I think pouring as much money as big companies in the us has been doing is unwise. But when you have deep pockets, i guess you can afford to gamble.

Those luxury watches got to have huge margins. I imagine watch makers can probably eat the tariff and sell at the same consumer price in the US.

They buy aggregated data from every other company and organisation in existance. That includes your purchase history and behaviour in great detail. Of course they will also have the data of your relatives and friends, which they will take in to account.

And it’s all built on the card houses that are IOS and Android.
