The problem is that gnome breaks extensions all the time. I gave up customizing it just because of that.

Use gnome as is. If you need something you can configure, use Kde Plasma.

Systemd is Linux only, nitro can run on FreeBSD, too.

I am on US west but I live in eastern Europe. BB needs better location detection.

I am running it with flatpak, it works no matter what distro you are using.
