It’s probably easier to maintain clean and dedicated distribution packages rather than putting everything into one giant pile. I’m not a maintainer, but I imagine this is similar to coding.

A customer can come back in the future. But probably not after this.
Same. I had an issue with AI videos at some points, but some dislikes later I don’t see them anymore.

Just give it a try. Even if you decide that gamedev isn’t for you, you’ll learn something new about yourself and game development in general.


I think the biggest advantage of an old laptop is that people often already have one.
You can export your settings and subscriptions - then import them elsewhere. You’ll lose your post/comment history though.
