      They’ll offer 7 years, and a new phone if you use it for the duration. Then after two years they’ll go “nah, never mind” and drop it altogether.

      didn’t they just pass some grand right to repair bill in their home base of California though?

        Which applies to making parts, tools, and documentation available to independent repair shops and end consumers.

        Nothing about requiring long term support.
