Had to use my we browser to post this. I cannot figure out how to create a post in sync. What am I missing?

    Beta limitation.

It’ll be in full release. It is a seemingly odd thing to not include, but then again I have no experience in making code of any kind work, so what do I know?

I dunno, 80% of people lurk and probably 15% of people comment and 5% actually post or something I would imagine (made up the numbers but that’d be my guess).

So getting browsing and commenting out caters to 95% of people, in a time where being the ‘first to market’ out of the big reddit android clients is probably quite a big deal, that makes a lot of sense rather than delaying release until posting works.

I don’t know where you get your percentages from but I’ll relate my experience. In 3 years on Reddit I did one post, although I wasn’t quite a lurker because I commented quite a bit. However, I’ve been on Lemmy for 2 months and I’ve done like 34 posts already. Maybe your numbers are more applicable to Reddit. Here a lot of us who didn’t do much on Reddit are trying to do our part by posting and commenting more to build content and vibe on Lemmy. I for one hope posting is included very soon, I love Sync but want to keep contributing here, not just with comments but posts too. I had to reinstall another app to continue posting,… When I first installed Sync and got the year sub I uninstalled the other 6 apps I was testing lol… Had to reinstall one to post. (please no one tell me I can post on browser, I don’t like using the browser on my phone) Anyway Sync ftw

That is a fair and good point. I was indeed using reddit as a basis for my assumptions and that may well be different for Lemmy.
