Those are PAL and Region 2 DVDs. So they won’t work in regular US DVD players. Welcome to the wonderful world of regional distribution contracts.

Oh, and amazon.co.uk has Region 1 Imported discs for £3 as well. But shipping cost will make the price about the same I guess. Or how about a region-free South Korea version?
