Have you tried Sacred 2 Remastered?

Seems like the devs have been updating quite heavily to fix a lot of the issues and missing features.

Thanks for posting this recommendation! I’ve never heard of this title (or series) before, and I’ve been trying to find something new to play lately.

Yeah looking at this again with fresh and more matu… ahem experienced eyes, Fish seems very interesting, and frankly quite appealing!

Going to switch over on my laptop for a bit, see how I go with it over the course of a month or 2 before deciding on what to do with my main desktop.

Doesn’t the shebang at the top of a bash script negate that compatibility issue anyway?

I remember years ago a YouTuber (I think it was Distrotube) making that same point about Fish, and I had this same thought back then lol.

Although, the Fish scripting looks interesting. Might switch my default shell to Fish on my laptop for a bit, maybe I’m underestimating this lol

I’ve heard of the better completion in the past, but when I tried Fish out I couldn’t tell a difference. I guess I’m not doing anything complex enough in a terminal to notice these issues though

Is there anyone that can help answer this? Why use Fish over say ZSH?

I’m a ZSH user, and every system I install one of the first tasks I always do is install ZSH and oh-my-zsh and make ZSH my default shell. However, if you were to ask me why ZSH over Bash, I honestly couldn’t give you a good answer outside of “oh-my-zsh themes look pretty”

This guide lists different settings and methods to connect to Mullvad VPN from networks and countries where connecting to a VPN is difficult. This includes countries such as China, Egypt, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan.

But Russia, China, and Iran are listed here. So maybe works? I’m confused

Over the years, I don’t think there’s many DE’s or WM’s that I haven’t tried to live with on a daily driver, such as KDE, Gnome, Cinnamon, Qtile, XMonad, I3, AwesomeWM, etc etc. What I found over the years was how much I appreciated a clean, simplistic UI for an operating system.

After spending multiple years on ‘window manager only’ setups (got fed up with updating configs on major updates, and got fed up with the amount of config I had to do), I returned back to KDE mainly for the intense amount of OOTB customisation. However, what I realised after a while was that I was just setting up KDE to look and behave like Gnome.

So 2 years after last using KDE, I’m now just using Gnome all the time. I like the workflow, on laptop personally I think the gesture navigation is better than any other DE, and I love the simplistic design. Plus extensions get me what isn’t included OOTB.

Downside to Gnome is when major updates occur and extensions break as a result, other than that I can’t think of much bad about Gnome

HDR is in, has been in KDE and Gnome for a while now.

Fair enough on TrackPad scroll speed.

Other than that though, what other features do you believe Gnome is missing?

I’ve ran vanilla Arch multiple times in the past, and each time it was for the 'fun’of building out my system, this was mainly back when I was a uni student.

These days however, I just want something that works well for my use case.
