Yeah, but I meant something like actually trading. Not just sharing in the family group. Imagine I have a game I’ve completed, I don’t want it anymore and you want to play it. We’re not in the same family group, so I offer you to trade it for a game of your library, or maybe we make a deal and you pay me some money for it so you are in a way, purchasing it second-hand from me.
It is now the moment for Valve to announce that they have come up with a way to let you sell/exchange games between users on Steam. They do this and they eat the whole market.
Yeah no. If my boss comes to tell me that from now on my “productivity” will be measured in token usage rather than actual “production”, you can bet I will use agents for every fucking thing. If after this happens, the rules of billing change and my boss starts getting charged per token usage instead of a flat charge per month, that’s not my problem; until my productivity stops being measured in token usage, you are gonna pay dumb money for your dumbness.

If you wanted one so badly, you probably got into the prenotation lottery. In the case you couldn’t get one, you were put in the prenotation queue meaning that you’ll be probably in for the next wave that shouldn’t take too long to happen.

Who is shifting blame here? I’m just saying that they are part of the hell, not victims. Meta is rotten to the core, and if you work there, it means you are ok with what they do, hence the lack of sympathy.
if you are still working at meta, you are there for the money, even tho it’s one of the most harmful companies in the world for our society and our planet. Sure, if I had a €60k car, I probably would have sustained less injuries, but I had a 15k city car because that’s what I could afford. And because this kind of car wasn’t probably designed to withstand a semi-trailer impact at 80-90kph. Yet it did, I’ve seen people in similar city cars and even bigger ones get wrecked way worse than me with just another car.

As a former owner of a dacia spring I have to say I disagree.
And I say former because mine was totalled during a car crash that people say it was a miracle I could survive it, let alone walk out of the car by myself.
I was in a highway, there was a traffic jam and all the cars were still in their lane. I was the last one to arrive so my car was the last one in line. Behind me arrived a semi-trailer at 90kmph that, according to the police report, was “driving distracted”. So distracted that he didn’t see the cars in line and hit me at almost full speed. My car was overturned and ended completely destroyed, but the cockpit didn’t deform and all the airbags worked, so I just got 4 broken ribs and a broken vertebrae that fortunately didn’t touch the spinal cord.
Not saying that I agree with the title, just explaining what I think was the reason.
Although one could say that trusting microslop to keep their word after what we’ve seen them do in the last years is… foolish to say the least.

I have a pixel with grapheneOS. I’m already degoogled, but this one looks like a cool nostalgia gadget that would be cool to have for a less outrageous price. I like the design and the idea (and the linux part), but I don’t think $500 is the price they should be asking.
They can’t be installed from the app store, but you can sideload the apk to install them.
Who is this for? Me. If it didn’t cost $500, I’d get it. I don’t have any social apps and I have a work phone (that I leave in the office when my shift ends). I would simply install a firefox fork apk and be done with it. No socials (aside lemmy), and no need for work apps. This phone would be for me if the price were something in the 200-300 area.
The issue is not physical yes/physical no. The issue is that if a company decides to take a game you bought from you, they can do it.
What we should be legislating is a law so if a company delists and removes from your account a game, they should refund you the price you paid.
