Saw it recc’d here on the indiegames community as a new version of Stardew Valley. I figured it would be fun as I’m a fan of cozy games, but I didn’t realize how fun it was going to be.
It’s still in early access and Ive got 100s of hours logged and I’m eagerly awaiting the next update. The characters and idle dialogue is fantastic, and it solves a lot of the things that frustrate me about SDV (as a SDV lover of course).

I’m sorry, putting my face on a naked body that’s not mine is one thing, but I really do fear for the people whose likeness gets used in some degrading/depraved porn and it’s actually believable because it’s AI generated. That is SO much worse/psychologically damaging if they find out about it.
I’m honestly kind of shocked at this. I know for our annual evaluations this year, people were using ChatGPT to write their statements.
I thought for sure someone with a secret squirrel type job was going to use it for that innocuous purpose, end up inputting top secret information, and then the DoD would ban the practice completely.
Ugh yes. I canceled my Amazon Prime like 5 years ago, and swore off Amazon completely until they started streaming Vox Machina. Sucks that’s the service Critical Role went with, but it is what it is.
I should check out Tales from the Loop too… and cancel AppleTV now that Ted Lasso is over.
Samsies on the timeline. It was 2020, I was deployed to the desert, and I was taking classes for a Masters Degree in Public Health.
I could NOT mentally deal with all the Covid misinformation flying around, and my family’s love of Trump. But I for some reason also couldn’t stop myself from checking FB constantly.
So, I deleted it, and the whole 30 days wait time was hella annoying because I had to stop myself from logging in. But when it was finally gone, I felt SUCH an immense relief.
It’s a time saver for sure. My husband and I use it a lot though over the past 2 months we’ve made conscious efforts to cook at home more for both money saving (it’s fucking expensive) and to reduce our calorie intake.
That being said, it’s really nice to just press a quick button, and then start sweeping, doing laundry, vacuuming, taking out the trash, etc, and then food just shows up that can now be conveniently cleaned up quickly as well.
Cooking yourself not only takes away time from the other chores kicking them to getting done later, but also now adds chores as well with the dishes.
I reason that something has to give between work, fitness, chores, schooling, sleep, and downtime. So far it’s been my sleep, but I don’t feel guilty using food delivery services to get some gaming/social time back in as well.
Yeah, it sucks too. A couple years ago I was trying to get out of a Sirius Satellite subscription I had opted into during the height of the rony 'rona.
Instead of sitting on the phone with CSRs for hours on end while they pass me around and offer me incentives to stay, I thought I’d be smart and report that my credit card was lost. (At the time you couldn’t disenroll online, that changed I happily found out a few months ago)
Joke was on me though. Sirius updated my new card info, and I was without a credit card for ~8 days.
Oh good, we’re another step closer to 1984 becoming reality.
