With the amount of people that made their account with a fake DOB of like 1900 or something to get around mature content I’m sure they already see plenty of users that age lol
I’d love to get my hands on even a decent condition 1st gen iPod, but people want insane amounts for them now. Even my 5.5 gen was more than i wanted to pay but nearly mint.
Imagine playing CS2 or CoD and getting flashbanged with a screen that bright
My raid is software as well, through TrueNAS Scale.
Yes, it breaks off to 4 SATA connectors, here’s a link on Amazon for an example.
I see a lot of drives there, all presumably connected via SATA. If you’re looking to add more drives in the future I recommend a SAS card or two, specifically a Dell PERC H310 flashed in IT mode. I picked one up on eBay for $20 a while back and it gives me 8 drive connectivity. Also snag some mini SAS to SATA cables to connect the drives.
I’ve got 44TB running in my Plex server using it and have had 0 issues with the card. Even had a friend 3D print a fan housing and attached a small Noctua fan to the heatsink for some peace of mind when doing large data transfers to make sure the card doesn’t overheat.
Edit: Like so
I’ve got a 13" M1 MBP about 2 years ago and I wanted to test it’s power after I set it up. I loaded up Final Cut Pro, got to work editing a 15ish minute 1440p video with a lot of elements to it. The render time was about 3 minutes, which is on par or faster than my 5950x/3090 K|ngp|n desktop, and the fans didn’t even turn on. It’s not over hype. M2, sure I can agree since it was marginal uplift over M1. I’m not even an Apple fanboy, but that M1 chip is damn good for an off the shelf workstation.
I’ve run into a similar issue, I built a media PC for my living room which includes a 4K compatible Blu-ray drive. After spending an hour trying to flash it’s BIOS in Linux, realizing Windows would take 2 minutes to do the same task, then finally testing a disk, I find that DRM ruins that. All my 4K disks will not play because it’s a crapshoot if they do play. It will rip them no problem, but not play.
I could fix this by using Windows, however I don’t want windows on this system, it works quickly and with no annoyances in Linux.
So now I have to resort back to the PS5 as my player until I figure something out.
Thank you for circling the largest photo, my eyes didn’t know where to go #bless 🙏
I recommend running GPU-Z to verify the 2060S is actually a 2060S, it’s well known that there’s fakes sold on that site as well as many others.
Personally can’t justify many series in 4k, some of the ones I have only ever got SD releases (DVD at best) but there are a few I can justify 4K for. Mainly very cinematic shows such as The Mandelorian or The Last of Us. As long as they have subtitles in the other shows and are available in their best original release resolution it’s fine for me.
For example if the original Doctor Who series had a 4K release for it’s entirety it would probably be my entire server lol. 693 episodes in 480p is almost 300GB.
Right there with you buddy, 13TB and growing. Self hosted media servers are the best.
I’ve got an '08 iMac with this version of MacOS, El Capitan I believe. Going from that to my 2019 M1 MBP running Sonoma is really no different. Sure there’s features missing but I can still sync my notes and the few other Apple things I actually use between the two.
Plus my iPods can still sync with both devices, they just moved iPod into Finder in the new versions.
We hate delivering them just as much as you hate getting them. Your best bet is to call the companies sending them and have them remove your address from their mailing list.
You could also go to the full extreme of just removing your mailbox and getting nothing, but sadly that also includes any packages sent through the USPS. They’ll get returned as No Mail Receptacle.
I’m there with you, I built my NAS about 8 months ago and now I’m slowly migrating everything to Linux. Once I get an AMD GPU for my gaming system I’m going to nuke my dual boot and run solely Linux, with Windows in a virtual machine if I ever need it. I’ll just run a dual GPU setup, RTX 3090 for the Windows VM and whatever AMD card I get for the host.
Yeah Michaelsoft we get it, you own the OS not us. Now quit doing this shit before you get slapped with more anti-trust lawsuits.
Actually no I’m just horribly illiterate 😂
I use it for one single purpose, browsing marketplace. I look for local used game stuff and that’s really it. If something peaks my interest I have my girlfriend message them since she uses messenger, I refuse to have it on my phone.
Even then, I’m using Firefox with UBO so even if they do use my browsing data for ads, I ain’t seeing them anyway.
Turns out you can in fact, cuck the Zuck
I can’t find one specifically about it, all results I find are abount people having trouble connecting their phones.
I remember reading it in a thread here about Mozilla’s privacy finding on car companies but don’t know if it was here in this Technology thread or another instance. Was somewhere in the comments.
It’s been happening to me but more consistently in 1440p or 4k, 1080p will still do it but only after a few videos or SponsorBlock does it’s thing. Happened on Linux and Windows.
