1·3 days agoDoesn’t outlook support imap?
Officially, it can. Many organizations turn IMAP off “for security reasons.”
Edit: Microsoft routinely turns off features for security reasons, so this comment may age poorly, if not already.

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week?
2·12 days agoI think Warframe is the only (non-open source) free to play game I have nice things to say about.
I never felt any pressure to pay, but every few months of playing and I would think, “I feel like I should chip these folks some cash, again”.
And then they do make it fun to chuck them some money.
Most of the purchasables may as well just say “trust us, it’s fun”, for all I understood any of them before buying. (I think I bought maybe 4 frames while playing for about a year.)
After playing for awhile, I do trust them. I’ve not been disappointed with any purchased frame or item - with the understanding that both are pretty much just amusing “thank you” gimmicks for supporting.
Warframe has been a good time. I sort of expect it to enshitify at any moment, but for now they seem chill.

6·13 days agoFucking communists and their free markets and open competition! None of that for us, please.

12·13 days agoYes, it’s the people who put in decades of hard work, not the cocaine snorting golden parachute executives, costing US auto makers their chance to compete. That might be it.
Edit: If only there were some way for citizens united to do something to help those poor executives.

Steam@lemmy.ml•Steam Hardware & Software Survey: August 2026 - Linux fall down under 4% again
2·14 days agoMakes sense. Building a home ‘steam machine’ alternative for my home TV has been on my own todo list for awhile. (Unless I can get my hands om the real deal before I get around to it, I suppose.)

Thats makes me wonder if the dip there is natural wear and tear taking SteamDecks out of play, and folks not replacing them because there were none in stock for awhile this summer.

Bad LLM code is worse than bad human code. LLMs sanitize out markers that humans use to catch and correct mistakes.

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Low Stakes Cozy Co-op Game Suggestions?
2·1 month agoAle and Tale Tavern is great co-op fun, and terribly cozy. It’s primarily fantasy themed overcooked, but with much chiller vibes.
There’s optional adventurer stuff, but it is pretty light, there’s good accessibility settings, and the adventuring can be delayed until stronger gear is available or done cooperatively, making it much easier.
Over time, you can upgrade your gear and decorate the tavern.
If anything, the game’s flaw is just that it’s relatively short, for an economy simulation game.
(6 to 8 hours with my group unlocked everything. We played past the end for maybe another two hours just for the chill vibes.)

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Low Stakes Cozy Co-op Game Suggestions?
1·2 months agoI had these runs early on, as well - where the rock I need to win simply is not present, or is so rare that I would have needed to be an expert to mine it.
They seem to have improved the randomizer, since then. I haven’t had that happen, lately - where the ore I need is too rare.
Also, mods that slash the ammo refill costs to 40 go a long way toward making DRG a much more relaxed gameplay.

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Low Stakes Cozy Co-op Game Suggestions?
3·2 months agoGreat recommendation!
And there is an accessible game play mode available that turns off the dome defense portion of the game, as well.
Opening a PO Box in person should avoid this issue.
