Serious question for you: how exactly do you see the American people doing anything about this beyond trying to vote out the fascists? The decades of protests since Iraq accomplished nothing, whether it was the Iraq war, Occupy, BLM or ICE.
I mean “oil grab” is a pretty non-consentual thing. Fits the bill for me. They literally took over the country, put their guy in, then grabbed the oil. Basically Iraq all over again but with no declaration of war and a lot less bombs.

they could make their own custom version of the fediverse, slowly diverging from the core open source version, then push the actual fediverse into obscurity, the same way Google Chat killed XMPP. Imagine a new Meta-controlled “fediverse” where you can only have an instance if you use their code and their rules.
