Its insane that custom launchers are even needed. I gave the base Samsung version a try and it wont even let me move the app drawer button, its glued to the bottom right. I’d expect an android to let me customize more than windows. Never understood the big tech companies need for this much control. Some brand manager will have a heartattack if I change an app icon, a basic feature in any version of Windows.

Im actually going to try enabling them again though, so I can check out the fediverser project. Maybe things will be different this time.

Ive made two communities, [email protected] and [email protected]. Wizards recently broke 500 subs and is seeing posts by other users so thats really cool. Gameclub was abandoned awhile back but Ive retooled it and I still think it can serve as a catchall/casual/meme space on the site. I am posting more on other lemmy gaming communities to keep them active as well.

I stepped into a temporary position as a stopgap when the old mod of [email protected] was taking a leave of abscence and it kind of bit me in the ass when the first post in months hit over 200 comments and 15 reports. I’ve added a couple new mods and Im open to adding more if anyone seems interested.

In all honesty I’ve started using tumblr more than lemmy, which on one hand is good as it gives me more content to post but on the other hand it means Im not here as often commenting and keeping an eye on things.

I use Mastodon but my main issue is the like of interaction. Even large accounts with many followers receive almost zero likes or boosts on their posts. Makes it feel like thousands of people shouting into the same void and trying not to make eye contact.

Much preferred the old inbox. If I get 5 replies to a comment I dont need to see the post title above all of them (I dont really want to see it above any of them.) I clicked the “show post titles in replies” option in the messaging options section to off but it made no difference.

I know. Logically it makes sense but I wasn’t expecting it at all. Felt in my heart like he would outlive me. In many ways Im sure he will.

I haven’t heard another guy talk about other dudes assuming you are just like them/same politics etc, but its something I’ve experienced a lot. I often have to break the news I’m not a safe space for whatever bs they are spewing.

The narrator is constantly yelling everything as you go through the screens to start the game. He yells the title, the name of the track, the name of your boat, and he doesnt stop when the race starts. Always makes me hyped to play.
