At work? Banana bread at work dawg?! HELL YEAH DAWG, HELL YEAH.

Lol, watch him try to make nerualink mandatory.
Oh now these are cool. That’s how you recycle lol. Thank you sir for providing my next wiki hole.
Jesus Christ. That’s nuts.
Lol, let’s just be glad this didn’t become wide spread enough to tempt a certain boy scout to turn serial killer.
I wonder why no new companies have picked up this technology. Some patients surviving 30 years, with no surgical intervention required is a pretty bold claim for any pacemaker. Regulations be damned.
I do remember that, shit. I was so young it didn’t click. Damn.
Holy shit did he really say that. Jr or Sr?
I really hope Lemmy hasn’t caught the censorship virus. There’s a certain acceptable amount due to the tolerance paradox, but your article doesn’t apply there.
How’s that one quote go? any world view that relies on the consistent silencing of another is inherently flawed? Something like that.
Yeah someone explained this earlier and I commented admitting my mistake. Definitely one of my shittier takes.
Fuck alright, I’ll admit I missed that part. I retract my previous statement and feel like a fool. I’ll leave the comment up to illustrate my lapse in judgement, just in case anyone else only skimmed the article and missed that like I did.
So guys, not saying this was right, murder is wrong in almost all scenarios. That being said I feel like no one in this thread actually read the article, he didn’t just eat a banana. He took a banana that was give as a ritualistic offering to a Hindu deity. Didn’t deserve death, but if the accusation is true he had to have expected some serious consequences.
Like come on, if this was an article about a Muslim community beating the shit out of someone for throwing bacon at a mosque, we’d all probably have a different reaction. Murder was too far, but you can’t spit in the face of someone’s religion or culture and expect nothing to happen.
I think the comment is meant to claim that while they contribute to these open source projects, the end goal is the ability to control those new arms of the emerging market to an extent. Kind of like what’s happened with steam where it’s been around for so long , has such a large community and quantity of content, that any similar platform that comes along is going to be at a serious disadvantage. Even large scale companies don’t even know how to compete with steam properly so far.
If the same thing happens to the Linux community within the next 10 years or so due to valves contributions. That could be not necessarily bad, but a serious change to the Linux culture. Open source culture could take a hit. Gabe won’t live forever, and he has a unique understanding of " you don’t fuck with the open source community, you work with them ". Once he’s gone, whoever takes over could take advantage of their foothold in the open source community, or at least try to. That would probably be bad.
Yup yup my guy. This is looking like just another ploy for companies and people to be able to patent and copyright everything under the fucking sun.
Oh yeah dude, same as the Ukrainian foreign recruitments.
Cuba is trying to stay neutral in the war. So there’s no state sanctioned recruitment channels. Meaning this is akin to hiring mercenaries, which is obviously illegal. Cuba, for obvious reasons, doesn’t like mercenaries, especially when it involves their own citizens.
Yeah, cruel fact about humanity. All these great technologies could give us luxury space communism in 100 years or so, but that won’t happen. Shitty people will be shitty and these technologies will be used for shitty purposes or intentionally stunted.
You have managed to make me feel better about my self
