“Full-self-driving”-soon?
“That dude downvoted a cute cat pic, get 'im!”
In capitalism, creating problems keeps people employed.
If your shit’s maintained and running perfectly, it looks as if you’re not doing anything.
I’m talking Microsoft. Having this much control over means of communication is alarming. And Microsoft continues to grow.
Hypothetically, I wonder if they can just block Microsoft accounts alltogether, denying access to (now, kind of mandatory MS account) Windows machines.
REGULATE MONOPOLIES
Why? Shopify has been sponsoring stuff like community gaming events for a few years now.
OCLP is pretty darn cool, for sure. Note the quotation marks on the “supported”.
I’m rather anoyed that I’ve accrued so much Apple hardware passed down to me, which is absolutely mint condition, but is “no longer supported”. It just means that the vendor no longer finds it profitable to keep it secure, and sort of shrugs it off; “just buy a new one lol, and bin your perfectly good hw”. Wasteful.
The 2011 MBP “supported” macOS isn’t receiving security updates anymore, for almost 4 years now. It’s pretty much an Apple Brick.
…unless you install an OS that continues to receive security updates. Insert penguin here.
I don’t think it’s incompetence, rather maximising profits at all costs.
Car enthusiasts are weird.
The whole notion of loud = fast falls apart with electric engines.
Not many people buy cars just because they sound good. It’s usually the engine that makes it sound good.(+exhaust, etc). Which means tha there’s still the need for speed.
But if you want speed, you need to go electric.
The whole macho V8 rumble and manually shifting gears is now less effective than a one-pedal, one-gear, quiet electeic setup.
This must such a huge disconnect in their heads, that they go about posting “electric = gay” on car videos.
Just like listening to loud music with windows down, the loud fart cans are just for seeking attention.
A loud engine is now an equivalent of a dog that barks, but doesn’t bite.
I agree that there are many cars that sound incredible (four rotor Mazdas, Porche Carerra GTs, Black or Brabus Mercs, you name it), but disliking electric cars because they make a silly quiet noise just makes one a poser, IMO.
Do we ignore fuel distribution costs? How much fuel is required to distribute fuel to the stations? Shipping oil from high-conflict areas?
Electric is stipl very much problematic, with the coal burning. But at least it has a lot of headroom to improve, and can be produced locally.
Oh, and my fucking lungs mate.
If you read comments on Instagram and the like, people hate electric cars because…
…they don’t do the vroom-vroom noise.
I disagree with the optinions stated in your reply.
You shouldn’t dismiss it just because you can’t get it to deliver what you need.
The garbage I see on the internet is enough for me to not use it. Let me hire a “prompt engineer”, I’m sure that’s more useful than a junior graphics designer. In your world, maybe.
Glhf
You are fucking high on your own farts. Learn to generate garbage images if you’re so scared, I don’t give a shit.
I know how it works, since we’re always hiring and looking for new talent.
I really don’t care what a passer-by-AI-is-the-future rando thinks about me.
I’m talking from a perspective of reality. What you “predict” or “feel” or imagine the industry is or going to be, doesn’t really interest me much.
No, I ate shit the first few years after uni, making coffee and changing texts on visuals.
Are you truimg to imply that a crappy image generator that can barely make text and has trouble generating the appropriate amount of fingers has taken over THE ENTIRE visual design industry?
We probably live on different planets.
You’ve made it clear, but it seems you’re unaware of how the design industry works.
You cannot beat a Nurburgring lap record with a slow, cheap car. You CAN do laps, but “doing laps” is not what the high-end companies want & need.
You cannot replace quality, expensive work with cheap work and expect the same result. Otherwise, companies would hire 1st-year-dirt-cheap freelancers, or outsource to fivr. Companies that do that are mostly starting themselves or are so cheap, that they are of no value to the designer.
Stop the “AI” dooming that’s only beneficial to the prople who sell it.
None of the highly successful people I know within the industry is worried about the generative garbage, because it’s all that is.
Yeah, quality is expensive, welcome to Earth.
That’s not capitalism, that’s economics. It’s the way it should be.
I invest half of my life’s time studying and honing my skill. I will charge accordingly for it.
Youtubers have no morals? What kind of idiotic generalisation is that?
BTW, adblocking is a form piracy, that I’m completely fine with.
