As we used to say when I was a little kid: “Zero the hero, first the worst.”

To any one else who may be considering doing this: please don’t. Nobody with the power to actually do anything cares if you die. You can’t help anyone when you’re dead.

I think a lot of people who switch to non-dairy milk never really liked to drink milk in the first place. It was easy for them to switch. I had to cut dairy when I had a baby with a milk allergy and it was so hard. None of the milk alternatives taste anything like cow milk. I hated all of them. Vegan cheese is pretty terrible, too. Even the most expensive fancy cashew ones taste significantly worse than the cheapest cow milk cheese. I did like Daiya’s smoked gouda and nutritional yeast is pretty good, but other than that I was so glad to have cow milk back in my diet after a year of being dairy-free. I like meat alternatives but dairy alternatives are just bad. I hope science figures it out.

That baby with the dairy allergy outgrew the allergy but still prefers oat milk.

If we can get aggressive people to point that energy at each other in a controlled environment, I see that as a victory. Keeps them off of the rest of us.

I am SO tired of this shit. “Waaah you aren’t condemning Hamas hard enough!!!” My god just shut the fuck up already. I can’t tell anymore which ones of these people are just stupid and which ones are being disingenuous. I swear to god these people will accuse anyone of antisemitism if they aren’t starting every single fucking sentence with an “I condemn Hamas” disclaimer.

I love using Hans as an example when I’m trying to explain to my children that sometimes bad people will pretend to be nice to you.

I don’t know what I’m doing differently but I really haven’t experienced the things everyone complains about. It’s been fine overall. Not a ton to see but that just means I don’t waste so much time.
