Oooh, nice interrobang.
Senior Chief Petty Officer. Starfleet is in my blood, and I’ve spent my entire adult life in service to boldly going.
Keiko and Molly are my favorite humans, but Transporter Room 3 will always be my favorite.
Just don’t ask who what’s in the pattern buffer.
Oooh, nice interrobang.
Having owned a couple low end printers, the ender 3 is my favorite budget option.
I’ve installed a couple upgrades, some of which I 3d printed on the printer itself, but my favorite ones are the borosilicate glass bed with a thermal pad to help spread out the heat quickly, and a dual z axis stepper motor.
If you’re not into tinkering, I’ve heard good things about Bambu, although I do not know much about them myself. Apparently they’re more user-friendly.
I enjoy working on my devices, but I would like something with more reliability than “recalibrate everything for every single print” sometimes.
It really is a hobby where spending just a little bit more will get you a ton of extra features and user experience.
Don’t care how they got it.
Unethically, probably illegally.
A person can dream.
Make every company that has a whistleblower die in ANY way face extremely heavy penalties including, but not limited to: 75% taxing on all income for a period of time as part of a fine, jail time for executives, board members, and potentially large shareholders, potential nationalization of the company, etc
Make every company afraid to have a whistleblower die. Make them want to hire private security and pay for all health expenses to ensure the person lives because the alternative is the company ceases to exist in any way that benefits those in charge.
surely they’ll follow up with investments into US-produced solar equipment to boost the economy and bring prices down to competitive levels, right?
… Right?
Yeah, I don’t think anyone would ask you “Are you okay with sitting at the bar with nazis?” yet plenty will happily judge you for saying “I’d rather not have to deal with MAGAts and their opinions”
Sorry but if your opinion is “trans people aren’t people” or “blacks need to know their place” then your opinion is shit and no the fuck I don’t have to listen to it
“tech enthusiast” vs “IT guy” in a nutshell.
Tech enthusiast: a little privacy breach is okay, as a treat for the headphones I already paid them money for. It’s not their fault their app wants to know these things. It’s mostly all good.
IT guy: shoot it 417 times after you uninstall it to make sure it’s truly no longer on your phone.
Side story: I forgot my good earbuds at home one day and decided I didn’t want to hear tools all day, so I bought a new pair at the store I was working at that day. 2 minutes later I’m at the counter again to return them because they wanted me to download an app and wouldn’t pair without it. Bought a $1 pack of earplugs instead.
I see their junk at every thrift store and flea market in Ohio.
I legitimately thought they went out of business.
Perfect dark was my JAM back in the day.
I still have my original cartridge, but unfortunately my n64 is either in a box in someone’s basement, or a landfill, as the friend I let borrow it (and my star wars games) left it at a friend’s house and the friend moved states.
PD was the first video game my sister and I played together. We never managed to finish it when we were young.
Commenters are the worst.
Especially the ones that have custom profiles with names and shit.
Like Bro you aren’t fooling anyone, we all know you aren’t really a squid that flies.
Fun fact! To make a super duper effective cleaning solution, all you have to do is mix ammonia and bleach! Make sure you do it in a small enclosed, dark room in order to ensure the solution binds together properly.
Big Cleaning doesn’t want you to know this because it cuts into their profits when people realize everyday chemicals can be combined to make better soaps and sprays than they sell.
My 4 month old laptop has hdmi on the back, ethernet on the left, four usb 3.whatever slots with two on each side, two USB c slots on the right side, and a microsd slot.
I think it even has a 3.5mm headset jack but I’d have to get out of bed to check. I don’t have any peripherals that use 3.5mm anymore though so it’s just a nice little bonus.
Having done exactly 0 research, I going to assume it’s one of those “DO NOT PRESS OKAY UNLESS YOU ARE EXPERIENCED AND KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING” and someone went “pffft I know what I’m doing. click now what does this option do…”
Damn, I already bought it!
But I can use this when gifting to people, right? There’s a couple people I want to send these as a gift to get them to play it.
If not well then I guess I can’t be super passive aggressive in telling them to play it because they don’t have an excuse anymore and actually have to use words…
The OG most wanted is hands down my favorite of all time.
I dropped $40 just to play on my Xbox around 10 years ago.
I’d buy it again if I didn’t already have it installed.
You joke, buuuuuuut https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2013/12/launch-code-for-us-nukes-was-00000000-for-20-years/
The USAF has denied this, multiple times.
I do not believe them.
Mainly because I know how people were during the cold war and have no doubt in my mind that the thought process was “nobody will ever access this without a reason, so let’s make it super quick and easy or we might be radioactive slag before we finish typing”
The mere fact that it’s believable is a problem.
And even if you DO post in small communities, half the time it’s a toss-up as to whether anyone will see it.
I’m not sure about lemmy, but reddit was roughly 50% US users, so it was a good bet that if you timed posts for “early morning” US browsing or “after work” EU browsing, your post would do well.
Idk lemmy’s demographic breakdown, but it seems more generalized (imagine that, a diverse fediverse!) around the world, so it’s hard for me to tell when the most users will be active.
Thanks to how history is being recorded, there’s no chance that he will be forgotten until civilization collapses.
I wouldn’t want history to actually forget any shitty person (or good person) because that makes it way easier for someone with similar ideals to take power again.
It’s more the sentiment.
I have a metaphorical bucket of piss just for Margaret Thatcher. 26+6=1
I see no reason to “cut myself off” at any point, I still find games released in the last few years that look interesting, and some with release dates TBD that look neat.
I haven’t bought a new console since July 2015 and have no plans to buy a new generation any time soon.
When my current console dies, I might upgrade, but likely I will find a cheap used replacement and keep playing what I already have.
Someday I will update all my stuff, just not today.
