Most people do not have an adblocker. Most people watch YouTube to varying degrees of frequency and duration. Most people will continue to watch the ads. I’d be surprised if YT noticed any amount of users leaving the site because of this. The privacy minded folk are few and far between.
The average user does not care. They will still use Google.
Somebody get the UN on the phone, they’re going to want to hear this.
Wouldn’t code hosted anywhere on the open internet be potentially susceptible to AI scraping?
You’re right, but let us use our heads for a moment:
When someone hears worldnews, they think current articles, not potentially outdated articles.
This article belonged on worldnews four months ago.
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Let’s make a community called /c/FourMonthOldNews where you, and at least one other, can post old news articles.
You’re worshipping the 24 hour news cycle instead of actually understanding current geopolitics.
Your assumption is way off base. I worship nothing. I try to read reputable sources, though have been known to be lazy and not do that.
I don’t think that you understand what we are trying to say. This community is for current world news. As in, current articles. An old article being related to current events is not what belongs in worldnews.
People don’t usually post 4 month old articles to news communities. That is why it’s weird.
Yes, yes it was. It is now basically the same as every other thirst trap out there.
Oh no, anyways.
Very well said. It’s such a shame to know that there is something better out there, what it looks like isn’t exactly clear, but there is a better way. The workers truly need to unite, for the benefit of us all.
I can confidently say we won’t do any of these things until we can kill capitalism and trends towards autocracy.
So basically never. The appetite of the regular person to revolt is nonexistent, unfortunately.

Wait a second, are you trying to tell me that the Telecoms are doing the same thing they’ve done since 2.5G?
Cops are pigs, yes.
From the article:
That is absurd. The copyright holders make nothing regardless, as the games are not for sale anymore.
Switch emulation is definitely up for debate. But hardware and games that are no longer made? Come on now…
