Well that’s why I said I will be asking my doctor what she uses! And I likely wont be transcribing anything professional, but I do still have my phone on me in those settings. It’s more about the fact that I don’t want my own personal notes to be automatically handed to an LLM and regurgitated out into the world without my knowledge. If it can recognize and transcribe my speech, what’s to stop it from using that to train an LLM, which in turn notoriously plagiarizes its training data?

I’m patient because I don’t spend money on upgrading my rig and because I enjoy playing 1 game for 1000 hours rather than 100 games for 10 hours. If you aren’t trying to make some kind of a connection with me as a person, if you get lost in some singular bullshit nonsense comment I wrote at 10AM on an idle Tuesday, if you start to attribute beliefs and opinions to me that I don’t have, if you’re not willing to reconcile and coexist, then I have no interest in engaging with you. Makes it real hard to engage with some folks - especially Hexbear.
