you see, the afd WAS the strongest party in the last election already. also: the afd is not the end of the world. germany is not what it used to be in the 20´s where the nazis were backed by the petty-bourgeois which made up more than 30% of the german population - so a big chunk of the german capital with a lot of political and economic power.

an afd-cdu coalition (because let´s be honest that is likely going to happen if things continue this way) is “just” going to mean that the welfare state dies off quicker and frontex kills more people than it already does. not full on fascism in a NSDAP-Sense. (it´s still going to suck to put it mildly)

Do we have 100% safety tho? ehh… i wouldn´t die on that hill though. things occur at every waking moment.

my advice would’ve been a 10yr old thinkpad with coreboot - which won’t work for everyone

randomlzing your window size shows trackers different resolutions.

depending on which OS you use it won’t show 1920x1080, as taskbars and other extras take off a few pixels.

example: if your browser is fullscreen and only shows a resolution of 1920x1075 it could most likely mean you use macos (randomly chosen)

the nuremberg trials were just a show, they convicted 300 high ranking officials while the useful rest got either “paperclipped” or went into german politics. the CDU, which has been the ruling party for the majority of the time since WW2 is the unofficial continuation of the NSDAP.

realizing that the nazis never truly lost their power and influence is a hard pill to swallow.

Here are some extra tips for increased privacy:

• Don´t use your browser in fullscreen
• Download Chameleon for Firefox, it periodically changes the browser and OS it pretends to be

it’s an arch linux machine. with proton and some tweaks to steamos you can run any game without a kernel level anticheat.

unfortunately not, power wise it only lets you upgrade the RAM.

but those CPU´s are vastly superior to those 2nd and 3rd Gen i7´s you can put into a t420/t430

the german website https://thinkwiki.de/ has detailed information about possible upgrades of every model :)

Thinkpads were basically made for Linux, depending on your Budget you can get a Thinkpad X220, X230, T420 or T430 for small money - perfectly usesble machines and Linux (my experience is CachyOS & Arch) work out of the box.

For a bigger budget i could recomment the T480, it’s still upgradeable.

And for a bigger budget i’d recommend a T14 GEN2

god i love the t420! the only limitation it has for my usecase is gaming which is fine - i use the steam streaming feature when i want to play games like citybuilders in my bed :)
