That’s literally not my choice, as I said in the comment you dug up in my history.

Account sharing is against GGG’s ToS.
I’m sure it is but clearly that doesn’t stop anyone.
I shame those whose decisions make things worse for everyone else.
Once again, not saying it “can’t” be used for anything, it is just a strange choice because it’s not “kickstarting” anything. The pupose of Kickstarter (and other crowdfunding sites) is to generate the necessary funds to bring something into existence. It’s already going. It’s like using it to sell products that are already on store shelves. Like, why do I need this? Why wouldn’t I just go to the store and buy it? I don’t understand the purpose.
In other words, why don’t they just have a donation page like everyone else?
Have these games already launched and are available for purchase on the store?
I didn’t say anything about what should or should not be allowed. It just doesn’t make sense.
someone is tarnishing the sacred name of a kickstarter campaign
Wow. You really missed the mark on that one. I don’t know why would you think I was making that point instead of the very clearly more sensible “it’s not what it’s for”.
In other words, why don’t they just have a donation page like everyone else?
It’s almost like I already did read it and it didn’t answer the question.
“Kickstarter” is supposed to be a crowdfunding campaign to “kickstart” a project, not string it along.
We probably would if Google wasn’t so deeply embedded in everyone’s lives. I’d have to quit my job (they use Workspace) and become a software engineer so I can get notifications for my text messages.
I don’t understand. These both already exist. What is the Kickstarter for?
Maybe consider getting a phone that doesn’t require a paid developer account for the privilege of distributing software.
it’s not because these billion dollar company cannot afford to, it’s because they don’t want to.
Have you tried to sign up for one of these services recently? It’s a fucking nightmare. They can’t stop them. Money is no object and they can’t do it.
Okay, but the bots work for other people…
Doesn’t matter if they’re shit or not, they don’t want bots crawling their sites, straining their resources, or constantly shit posting, but they do anyway. And if the billion dollar corporations can’t stop them, it’s probably a good bet that you can’t either.
Would if I could but I deleted my account and Reddit has been blocking my connection for months anyway.
What is an outlet?
She said something about Diablo that I didn’t understand as someone who doesn’t play that game but apparently confirming that, at one time, he was very skilled. Which is absolutely meaningless in a context where he pays people to play for him and then pretends that he did it.
He didn’t say “account boosting”, he said they share accounts. I don’t play PoE, much less competitively, so I don’t know if that’s true, but let’s assume it is. Just disclose it. Like, disclose it publicly before you play the game. Don’t deny it after being called out on it and then retaliate against the person calling you out on your platform like a petty manchild, then disclose it in private. If anything, people will respect you more for being someone who doesn’t play video games all day every day like it’s their job.
This conversation was about bots. Yours is about “outlets” and “streams”, whatever that is.
I don’t understand what that has to do with this conversation.
