Unfortunately there are no other options. Literally everything else is Chromium based and ruined by Manifest v3.

“Hallucination” is an anthropomorphized term for what’s happening. The actual cause is much simpler, there’s no semantic distinction between true and false statements. Both are equally plausible as far as a language model is concerned, as long as it’s semantically structured like an answer to the question being asked.
I’m sure there’s some MBA douche stupid enough to buy it.
Remember when every platform renamed PMs to DMs and everyone who pointed out that they’re trying to remove the expectation of privacy was “paranoid”?
Remember the 13 billion years before you were born? More of that.
The only way to adapt to this in the long run is the complete abolition of capitalism. It’s fundamentally incompatible with all forms of labor becoming obsolete.
I’d read more articles if they weren’t paywalled.
Deliberately degrading picture quality when the metadata says it’s from a competitor to push the narrative that they have the best cameras is also pretty low. Points for the sheer audacity, though.
It’s probably just a ChatGPT wrapper with a preset prompt. That’s all these “AI entrepreneurs” are capable of. Absolute fucking hacks.
What do you believe is the rational response to a crowd getting restless?
There are 3 very important things that have to be respected when using someone’s work. Consent, credit, and compensation. The data is being taken without the consent of users, they’re not being credited for anything, and they don’t receive so much as a cent in exchange.
Not human biases. Biases in the labeled data set.
Who made the data set? Dogs? Pigeons?
This is why LLMs have no future. No matter how much the technology improves, they can never have training data past 2021, which becomes more and more of a problem as time goes on.
Because sometimes the generator just replicates bits of its training data wholesale. The “creative spark” isn’t its own, it’s from a human artist left uncredited and uncompensated.
Better yet, point the crawler to a massive text file of almost but not quite grammatically correct garbage to poison the model. Something it will recognize as language and internalize, but severely degrade the quality of its output.
4G LTE was the point of no return. It was supposed to mean “it’s not 4G yet but we have an upgrade plan to get there”, but when they finally did, marketing found out that to the average person, going from 4G LTE to 4G sounded like a downgrade, so they rebranded it to 5G.
This is where they have the leverage to push for actual copyright reform, but they won’t. Far more profitable to keep the system broken for everyone but have an exemption for AI megacorps.
Now that’s not entirely fair. Some are both.
There should be some sort of law where if you want to offload decisions to AI, the person who decides to let the AI make those decisions needs to step up to take full civil and criminal liability for everything it does.
They can only force you to use biometrics to open it, not a password.
