I’ve literally never heard a single person bring that idea up. Acting like it’s somehow a widely held belief because that dude said so is idiotic.

$20 is still pretty cheap for no ads. That’s less than two months of a streaming service
I have similar filters set up for accounts and instances. After filtering and refreshing, I never see content from those sources again
Oh no, my employer might find out I’m looking for other jobs after being overloaded for a year and a half and constantly having my concerns/feedback/process improvement initiatives brushed aside.
You dropped this

I blocked 196 because it was just shitty memes being spammed
Ok, thanks for the reply! I’ve been using Sync for a decade, and it is by far the best app I’ve used. Thanks for all your work porting it over to Lemmy!
Is it possible to upload multiple images? I can upload one image in a post, but can’t embed images in the body or a comment without receiving an error (“Could not upload image.”)
Stupid people searching for clickbait
“reeee, everyone should live in cities and walk everywhere!!!1! What do you mean people live in rural areas miles away from everything and need to be able to haul shit themselves and be self-sufficient because no one in my cities actually gives a fuck about anyone outside of our tiny geographic region that we view as the center of the fucking universe?!”
Let’s be honest, Twitter has always been a cesspool if you read below the top tweet.
Fair point
Google bought Waze a while back
Is that 11m including everything on the fediverse, or just Lemmy instances?
Is there any chance of changing the profile view to show overview (posts + comments) like it used to be on Reddit vs having them segregated? Having it separated is a minor annoyance of mine
Great work on this app. I used Sync Pro for 10 years, this has blown Jerboa out of the water and has really enhanced the whole Lemmy experience for me
There is a key distinction between a contracted public service and a private company running a for-profit business. Think buses (as you described) vs taxis.
Don’t really see the appeal tbh. More fragile, more expensive, and for what? A bigger phone? I have big hands, and my Pixel 4a is about the max size that’s practical for me to use one handed.
I hopped off the “upgrade to a new phone every year or two” train about 6 years ago in favor of buying a cheaper phone outright and going prepaid. I don’t see any need to drop $1k+ on a phone, especially for what I view as a gimmick
Hustle culture, sure. Side hustles, sure. The concept that a game company should pay me to play their game, nope.
