I feel like their goal is more close to providing a privacy-minded alternative to Google’s G-suite to “regular” users, so for me it totally makes sense. But yeah, I’m also really waiting for the Linux drive app.
Do you have any smart home setup as of now? Asking because if you have a Hue Bridge or Home assistant running at homefor example, that could narrow the results.
None of these feel like essential feature for me, I’ll be still more happy using a custom ROM.

Definitely not on the cheap side, but maybe you won’t find one: the Hue ecosystem works quite fine for me for years now. I’m just setting up motion sensor and light on the bridge and then they are also discoverable by HA and then setting up automation inside HA. It would work the same with Hue power switch.
Once again, this is more pricey solution, but I’m also building my system gradually, so it’s manageable.
ProtonPass has mail aliases that work together with Proton Mail. I think they bought SimpleLogin some time ago. It could be a paid feature thought.
I just keep it on my work profile with my other work related apps, so I’m sure it never touches my personal stuff.
