Which, as the article states, they are starting to end that practice.

Purchase price, higher maintenance costs (EVs eat tires due to the increased weight and higher torque), installation of charging infrastructure (some us need expense electrical service upgrades and added wiring; we don’t all have 200 amp panels and garages with 30 amp 240v service already wired in)
I’d love an EV, but I won’t be afforded Int one for a bit. And used ones, even if cheaper, will have massive battery degradation cutting range way down.
I’m not wealthy enough for a PV setup.
And I love road trips. Some of the most beautiful areas of my country are 3000+ km from me.
“Modest?” $14 a month? $5 would be modest. I literally pay less for whole as streaming services.
If you don’t like the UN, Israel, then perhaps they should also repeal Resolution 181 (II).
The 787 entered service in 2011. I would not call that a very long time.
They absolutely should have produced a clean sheet 737 replacement. But cost overruns from the 787 program, competition from the much faster to develop A320neo, and worries about existing operators going A320 if they developed a new type rating stupidity scared them off.
I despise any corporate apologists and fanboys. The fact that people complain about interoperability issues tells you many reject your idea.
The way Apple is going, my next phone will probably be a FairPhone that operates Android.

You can get a new android under $200. And google has their own feature to locate their phones.
There are a lot more cheap Android options. I wouldn’t want to get a kid a pricey iPhone for their first smartphone.
I get no paywall. I’m betting you want to stay willfully ignorant. Where do you think Assange/wikileaks got the info from the DNC?
Try Wikipedia
On December 9, 2016, the CIA told U.S. legislators that the U.S. Intelligence Community concluded Russia conducted operations during the 2016 U.S. election to prevent Hillary Clinton[13] from winning the presidency.[14] Multiple U.S intelligence agencies concluded people with direct ties to the Kremlin gave WikiLeaks hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee.[14]WikiLeaks did not reveal its source. Later Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, claimed that the source of the emails was not Russia or any other state.

The point is, it was selective. Russians hacked BOTH the RNC and DNC, then only sent the DNC information to Wikileaks. Assange was a moron that did exactly what Putin wanted him to and selectively hurt Democrats to help Trump.
Hilary was less god-awful than Trump, and the leaks absolutely damaged her campaign. You sound like you are ok with Putin interfering with our elections.
Also, I don’t really feel empathetic towards Assange, he acted as a Russian mouthpiece with his show on RT and his interference in the 2016 US presidential election.
I wish more people would see this. He isn’t some freedom fighter. He happily became Putin’s useful idiot and published the selective leaks Russia provided to swing the 2016 election to Trump. I find it hilarious that after that, Trump wanted to kill him.
Arbitration clauses need to be banned, at least for regular consumer purchases.
But thanks to lobbying, that will never happen.
But at least I know never to ever buy anything from LG and Kenmore.
The landlord is the one cheating. They are likely earning a kickback on those included internet plans. Your landlord could have said no. Sadly it’s pretty common for multiunit rentals to be locked in to just provider.
Not that ISPs don’t usually suck. When AT&T Fiber lit up in my neighborhood in 2022, magically Spectrum was able to offer faster speeds at lower prices. Though sorry Spectrum, I prefer my 300mbps symmetrical to your 500/20 service.
Well, I’m fully prepared. And I’m also prepared to watch Darwinism in action.
Nope. Everything is gas. Range, water heater, dryer, and heat. The only 2 pole breaker I have is for central AC.
My house was built in the 1940s. 200 amp service didn’t become standard until the 80s.
I know level 1 charging is there (although I also only have one exterior outlet), ~3 miles per hour of charging is tight. I need to be plugged in at least 10 hours for just my commute.
And, yeah, you hit on the big problem. EVs are expensive and are only really accessible to those already at the upper end of the spectrum. Belief that gas engines are more powerful or have more instant torque is not what is keeping people from EVs, so the point Randall makes is pretty stupid.
