Some of those power users have a bot running or use scheduled posts.

There are few instances claiming that they will do less strict moderation and defederations.

However I haven’t check those instances myself yet.

This is half true. There are a few toxic instances and communities.

It doesn’t work with SD cards.

It is not mandatory but more a nice to have thing.

Of course you can always create an account on another instance when your home instance disappears / has issues.

But for convenience reasons you should create it before this scenario happens.

For each service that you use regular you should at least have two accounts. Just in case the service goes down or has other issues.

If this device supported PDF it would be a no brainer to buy. I understand that the hardware is not good enough for PDFs
