Illegal pushbacks are funded by the EU. EU countries look away or even condone them, as they don’t want immigrants either.

I watched a video of a scam baiter recently. The scammer wanted playstation store credits or something. The baiter pretended to be an old lady that didn’t understand much. The scammer just had no patience at all. Calling her stupid in her face and all that. Apparently there are really bad scammers.
Did not know about that seeder. Super useful tool! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the hard work. I’ve cancelled my Patreon and switched to Liberapay.
A DSLR doesn’t fit in your pocket… I’m really happy with my Pixel 6a camera. The night shot mode is really nice. Sure, I can get better shots with my mirrorless and a tripod, but I’m not gonna carry those with me all day (I hardly bring my mirrorless, let alone the tripod).
I haven’t explored other camera apps. I assume they haven’t implemented all the software magic that’s running on that Tensor chip?
The Netherlands.
I see it more as a political and economic devide, hence grouping the German speaking countries also with the western countries.
Southern countries are seen as having a poorer economy, hence not being part of the western countries. The northern ones could be part of the western group, but for some reason they also don’t mind being their own corner.
I (and many people around me) group Italy under southern Europe. Just like Spain, Portugal and Greece.
Western Europe for me is roughly France, Benelux, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Northern Europe is Scandinavia and Finland.
I’m sure others have a different view on this.
How do you differentiate between a small instance where 10 votes would already be suspicious vs a large instance such as lemmy.world, where 10 would be normal?
I don’t think instances publish how many users they have and it’s not reliable anyway, since you can easily fudge those numbers.
I use copilot on a daily basis for programming. It has made me much more productive and it’s a real pleasure to use it. Nothing overhyped about it.
Curious to see what it will bring for other domains, e.g. for dealing with emails.
I do agree that there’s a lot of filtering happening. Not a huge deal for more applications. Luckily you can run your own models that are not filtered. I can definitely see a future where you run your own models locally. Afaik Apple recently did some stuff around that.
