Yeah, they’re mostly known for being super silent and reliable. They do have special-application fans too (high airflow/high static pressure) and for PCs where color is of importance, there are some black-and-gray variants.

My personal favorites are Knipex, Wera and Proxxon. Worth every
pennycent.
I feel like Proxxon is the Noctua of tools – the color scheme is hideous, but if you’re after quality, you don’t care about the looks. Or is it the other way around and Noctua is the Proxxon of fans?

16·7 months agoBefore I got my Fairphone 5, I considered waiting for the FP6 in hopes of a better camera. The FP5’s isn’t bad, it’s just not on par with many other phones. Glad I didn’t though:
On the back, you’ll find a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera, while the front has a 32MP hole-punch camera for selfies and video calls. That’s a significant step down from the Fairphone 5, which used 50MP sensors on all three of its cameras.
Why would they go that route? Is there anything obvious I’m missing here?
Anyways, still love my Fairphone, especially in regards to repairability and privacy (running CalyxOS).
Very rewarding use case.
Worth noting that cards such as this (with mote than one M.2 slot) require the mainboard to support PCIe bifurcation – which most old boards likely do not.
Edit: Cards with just one slot do not require this feature so you can plug them into any board that has a free PCIe slot. Unless you also want to boot from them, in which case you might need to modify your UEFI. I went that route and succeeded, but be aware of the risks involved.
