Yes and there is an issue started on the gitlab for Fennec (which ironically I can’t pull up right now to give you the link because it’s hanging due to this bug).
There is a workaround that works for me, go to your settings within Fennec and turn on “Delete browsing data on quit” and only turn on the “cached images and files” so you don’t lose saved logins and history. This will enable an “exit” option in the menu which fully closes the app and usually fixes the issue.

I’m having the same issue with Fennec from F-Droid on a Pixel 8 Pro. I thought it was network issues but it happens no matter how I’m connected, WiFi or 5G. Chrome doesn’t have the issue on the same phone and all apps work fine so it’s definitely a Firefox engine issue.

My daily use USB drive is a Transcend 256GB ESD310, it supports 10Gbps speeds and has been rock solid for me. Technically it’s an SSD and not just a “flash drive”. I use it both for portable storage and as a boot disk via Ventoy. It has USB-A on one side and USB-C on the other, both are 10Gbps.
It’s not a purity test, it’s boycotting an admitted Nazi friendly organization. When Framework chose to embrace, financially support, and then when called out on it, specifically state that the Nazis are welcome in their big tent, that tent became a Nazi tent. That’s not a tent me or many others want to be in, because that makes the Nazis feel welcome and free to attack anyone else in the tent with no repercussions and with the full, spoken support of Framework.
Fuck that, and fuck you if you don’t like it.
