  • I actually went to a real-life sex shop for the first time in my life.

I was nervous out of my mind and I was doing this weird fidgeting thing where I rub the inside edge of my eyelids with my hands over my nose and mouth, and the woman who runs the place asked if I was having an allergic reaction to the air freshener. That’s the humorous bit I think about to stop dwelling on how intense it was for me. It broke nearly every rule and norm I’ve ever lived by. I’ve had about ten distinct “I can’t believe I’m doing this” moments just in the last month.

The owner of the store was very polite, and spoke plainly about sexuality and masturbation so far as it was relevant to my business there. It was as if none of it were ever taboo to begin with, and that kind of approach was just what I needed to not have a heart attack right there. I got a mid-size metal plug and a small thing of lube and I’ve been casually exploring with it since then.

In other news, I learned that I’ve made enough progress restoring my foreskin that artificial lube doesn’t do much for me, and a lot of the time my glans looks like I’m uncut. Nature is healing

  • The Mantor is my first and only restoration device, I picked it since it had the best reviews on Reddit. I highly recommend it. It’s essentially invisible through clothing. It’s very comfortable and easy to forget about, especially with the new silicone pad that goes between the pusher and glans; the pad essentially removes the need for a moisturizer. I’ve only CBT’d myself with it once or twice and it’s been because I used the thing incorrectly and opted to “soldier through” device pain. Make sure you know whether your frenulum is intact before choosing a pusher.

The only big issue I have with it is the interface between the threaded rod and the pusher. The receiving threads inside the pusher will inevitably rust away after a few months of normal cleaning, even if you think you’ve dried it well enough after each cleaning. However, once those threads disappear it allows you to hand-adjust the tension without removing the device, by twisting the cap at the end of the rod.

  • I’m learning a lot more about kinks and the human sexual experience since SatansInteriorDsgnr recommended Oh Joy Sex Toy to me. I’m also more comfortable publicly talking about sex since my last post (thanks to everyone for your kind words!)

I also got this little band that helps out the foreskin restoration process. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do - it goes around the shaft and holds the external skin in place while you use another device to stretch the skin from the other end - but it’s also obviously a silicone ball strap. I’m not extremely well-read in sex toys but this product’s “bonus feature” was clear enough to me. So that’s certainly been exciting so far, and it elevates my edge-while-I-write strategy.
