Password manager users feeling like untouchable gods after this one.
Kdenlive is great, I’ve been editing a lot of my videos on there and some shorts on YouTube. It’s got a pretty unappealing UI but one you get to know and figure out where everything is you can get some content out :)
Maybe it’s because it has hardened in the title it was automatically marked
Well they want to keep the code under FUTO licensing but maybe we can hope they switch to GPL-3 :)
I second this, grayjay.app is great. It does break TOS but you don’t have to login to the app, you can just add your subscriptions over and boom. It’s not FOSS but it’s not really too much of a problem since it’s supported by an organisation focused on decentralizing the big tech (FUTO) so I think it’s pretty safe to support using the app.
Underrated comment
Omg it wasn’t like this a while ago, I can’t belive it! I’m going to reinstall it to play as soon as I can. Needing to reboot to windows just to play is the reason why I play Battlefield 1 a lot more. Thanks :)
EasyAntiCheat is the biggest problem on Linux, I have to boot to my windows install just to play The Finals and Hell Let Loose… It’s such a shame cuz I think the developers can enable a setting to let it run on Linux but then that would mean they would actually have to support players who are playing on Linux and that’s too much work for big corpos
You can make it so that you can have a folder ignored by your syncthing on your computer called something like backup
but have your phone still recognise that folder as not ignored. Then when you want to delete a photo in your phone, just move it to that folder, wait until it syncs and then delete it. Your computer should not delete the photo since it ignores any changes in that folder.
I’ll test this when I get home if you would like?
I second this, I use syncthing for phone camera to pc and laptop and have never had a problem. It’s almost instant too, it’s kinda nuts that it doesn’t even need Internet to connect between devices. I a world where everything needs an account, and tracking, syncthing is a simple grace I take for granted
FPS video game, very fast paced. It’s free to play on an open beta right now.
I played The Finals and my male character had the whole bakery and I didn’t know how to feel about it.
I used Void with xfce for a year and I feel like it was the best “new” distro I’ve ever had my hands on. It was clean, efficient and I loved initd and xbps.
Oops, you’re right, I read as the opposite!
Void Linux was my daily driver for around a year and it was fast, really fast, and had a lot of tinkerability. I highly recommend it.
When you type in www.example.com, you request the IP of the server for that site using a DNS server. The DNS server sends you the IP and then you connect to it. If they are using https for DNS it means that your ISP or onlookers have to reverse which domain you’re accessing from that IP to know that you’re accessing www.example.com.
At least I think that’s what is happening.
I am running manjaro with a AMD 7900XT GPU, i needed to do a lot of work to get my windows vm to display correctly and it does not perform well in terms of graphics inside the VM. Personally I keep a dual boot with Win11 debloated to run games that require kernel level anticheat. With that said, if you wanna know if it’s a good idea to switch, protondb.com gives you what to expect from your games on Linux!
