I just want a Debian-based distro with KDE that’s not poisoned by Canonical’s nonsense
Say what you want about Musk, but bankrupting TWO multibillion dollar companies at the same time is impressive.
Yeah, PFAS comes to mind. It took decades to confirm it’s harmful to humans but at this point it is everywhere and hard to get rid of. Worst part is they try to use other chemicals to replace PFAS, but again how harmful they are we don’t know and we will learn that decades later too because companies don’t want to make long term research before releasing the product. Enviroment shouldn’t be a billionaire’s testing ground.
Valve is a private company whereas GOG belongs to CDProject - a publicly traded company. GOG might want to fill the void but they’re more likely to do dumb, shortsighted decisions in contrast to Valve.
“GUI makes easy tasks easier, CLI makes hard tasks possible”. I’m a Debian user and lately I haven’t been touching terminal at all, unless it’s an inherently terminal task like programing. My only complaint now is that when I did an grub update my config file got reverted to the defaults. All of a sudden I couldn’t boot to Windows from grub because os-prober got dissabled (I’m dualbooting). Fixing that is not hard, as you only have to uncomment one line in the config, but it’s annoying that it happend.
All that AI can’t pay for itself, I guess.
He deserves that. After all he works 4 000 000 hours a day… Right?
Sadly a lot of math heavy textbooks love to present the equations and how to use them, but do a poor job explaining how those equations came to be.
They are already doing that with prpagandists like Nina Teicholz.
I would’t be suprised if those people used Pegasus against their own party members too. PIS (the party that used the spyware) is full of backstabing nobodies.
Fuck. I sometimes use the text-only version to access sites with too many moving elements or when the site is geoblocked or doesn’t respect cookies choices and denies access. So far, it has been the most reliable one for me.
They take the man’s entire life away because he revealed us terrible things our non-elected leaders are doing to us.
And for possessing child porn…
I’m not a lawyer, but I think there’s “spirit of the law” in EU, which means that even though Apple technically allowed sideloading, their implementation goes against the INTENTION of the law and is illegal.
I pirated texts for my thesis even when I had access to them through my university. A lot of journals are just too annoying to use.
I remember him saying that computers would make people work less by being more productive, but in the end the difference was pocketed by the rich. I don’t think it’s just a technology problem…
LastWeekTonight made an interesting episode about medical devices and how they are cleared or approved. The OP’s post is about approval for human trials, but I think Neuralink getting approved for the market by FDA and then ruining many lives anyway is a real possibility.
I’m currently on debian. I wrote this comment as a response to the Debian slander in the meme.
