I’m not in one of those states, but Google recently told me they couldn’t verify that I was an adult… for my business account that Google definitely knows is a business.
So they changed some of my settings, which basically amounted to them tracking me less and not personalizing ads for me. I think I’m just going to leave it. Apparently you don’t need to be an adult to run their business analytics or advertise with them or whatever. Somehow they seem to know that my personal account belongs to an adult. All my accounts are linked and under the same name, so I’m not sure why they can’t figure out the other two.


A third party delivery service doesn’t even need to contract with with the restaurant to sell their food. They can create their own website, food descriptions, and price markups, and the restaurant might not even know they’re doing it.
That’s not blocking them from tracking you. You’re only blocking yourself from seeing the ads they’ve chosen to show you based on the tracking they’ve already done.
