I think even if shills, bots and influencers gain traction in the fediverse, it’s still better than reddit or Instagram because of federation. There won’t be one corporation algorithmically feeding you ads. You can curate your experience more than you can on another platform.

I have a surface pro 4. I love these machines. You can use it like a tablet, you can use it like a laptop. It’s great for drawing and taking notes by hand.

The only problem is Windows, but that’s not a big problem for the average person. The price of the new ones is a problem but I think the form factor is awesome.

How well does it handle streaming multiple devices in the same network?

So jellyfin runs on the server but the movies are stored on the nas? Sorry I was interested in running a similar set up but I wasn’t sure if it could work that way.

Man how the hell are we supposed to degoogle so fast. I literally only became aware that they sucked like 2 years after them being cool for most of my life. Getting rid of gmail is going to be tough. There literally isn’t a service the equal of YouTube or Gmail.

And the conflicts that do happen, happen at the behest the US and in the interest of US corporations. And the US has control over the narrative surrounding the conflict.

China hasn’t tried to expand or colonize anyone in my lifetime. America has some so numerous times. Maybe stop being so defensive and look at history without your America colored glasses.

The point I’m trying to make is America likes war a lot. China hasn’t fought a war in 50 years. It’s hard to take Americans seriously when they accuse someone of being aggressive.

America has engaged in war the majority of the post world war 2 era. Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan twice, Iraq twice. And that’s not including all the proxy wars they’ve funded.

I’m blinded by the Trump administration because I don’t believe American propaganda about Chinese aggression?
