Pothos or snake plant. Pothos are easy to make thrive and grow which is rewarding. Snake plant thrives if you rarely water it but it grows slowly.
Both can be found for easonable prices and people are always happy to give others a pothos cutting.
I’m just going to leave this here.
This makes more sense imo, thanks for sharing your experience (and your Lemmy development :))
I’ll allow it.
Community guidelines in a readme would be a good start. Also, educating those opening new git issues since I often see entitled and vitriolic demands from non-devs who do not understand what FOSS is (although I understand that this isn’t the only bully archetype).
One of the takeaways Imo is to consider bullies as potential security threats especially when they’re pushing to merge code. And for both developers and non-developers alike, to try to foster a culture of respect and avoid entitlement in git issues. Call it out when you see it and don’t dogpile.
Absolutely. In my experience I’ve felt more pressure to merge in closed source than open source since the bully is those above you in a hierarchy with business interests who are also paying your bills.
I fail to see the comparison at all.
My goodness the variety… And they all look so happy!
Ooo, fancy. How long have you had this fella for?
Small solar panel and incandescent bulb for heat?
Retitled since I have an aversion to listicles, yet I found this blog post to have some interesting info with a fun writing style. Enjoy!
What a great idea!
Panel 4 looks like a beautiful rose. But then it turns into a beautiful begonia.
This is awesome! Quite the variety too.
I’m a big fan of pothos! So lush and easy to take care of.
Snake plants are super easy if you just ignore them but I find people starting out with houseplants tend to overwater which snake plants do not like.
They work at least as well as CFL or fluorescent. The full spectrum bulbs emit all wavelengths, so that’s why it’s best to go for the harshest, whitest bulb. LED bulbs are used for most growlights.
It’s worth mentioning that there’s no difference between grow light branded lights and regular LED bulbs. I’ve had a basic 4.5W Philips A19 LED bulb for a while now that’s only 810 lumens and my string of turtles and alocasia love it. It also used about 1¢ this past month, as per my smart plug. Just be sure to go for the whitest option available for the best effects.
I can’t wait until more YouTube creators move to Peertube + donation platforms like Liberapay!
