I forgot that exists lol. Of course it excluded gov use. I feel like it’s ignored anyway and gives no real protection, or we wouldn’t have a million flock cameras everywhere in this state.

You’re looking at Claude, I don’t See Copilot
Edit: ignore me, I finally reviewed the article and is through GH, not actual MS 365 page.

Of course it is… Funny though, bc nobody really uses it at work, so our pricing should theoretically go down… But I doubt it, MS will find a way to make it go up
The real link, not news article, is from EFF Org. Doing the Lord’s work!

Yeah, to add to that basically, security is layered. More than people realize…
You’ve got the OS, the apps, the accounts used, the radio permissions tied up the drive out apps (WiFi, BT, NFC, GPS), search engines, web pages/browsers, the network (DNS especially), the IMEI (device ID) & IMSI (SIM ID), more too I’m sure.
Fixing one doesn’t fix it all, like how many people used incognito mode on Chrome and thought that was actually private 🤣
My wife would just sell my data.

I would be raising hell!

That didn’t matter for me recently. On a site, flights in cart, looked at rental car for <5 minutes and the outbound flights jumped ~$60/ticket in that time “due to demand” when the flight was 80%empty…
Got on my phone, on data (so new browser, new IP) still prices are higher. Hopped on my old phone over VPN to change region, checked out a different leave date, checked a couple, went back to my original date and flights were $40 cheaper (so still $20 more than before) but they gotta know based on Geo IP and time of inquiries it’s probably all the same person, smh.
What a scam!!

Not to mention no ATM camera recording the transaction

Yes, it’s as bad if not worse than you think!
I mean the data hoarding, not documentary.

So we can now sign up with your email for accounts?

What country are you in? I literally just did this (US) in my browser and watched (started) 3 different videos with no account or age checks.

Thank you, this looks very interesting and useful! I’m going to set this up and test it out with a couple friends.

The other things politicians do, like in Illinois, is introduce one bill, and his other things within it to get things passed outside the normal channels. Like when Pritzker up and banned 170+specific firearms, ammo limitations, threaded barrels, and then started a registration process. Also repealed knowingly spreading HIV illegal, so anyone (by the sound of it-haven’t looked into it much) can sleep with a new partner without disclosing HIV status. I’m assuming that’s to appeal somehow to the LGBTQ community since the bulk of voters are the Chicago area, but some time he purely for just in time for elections.
You might think the firearms thing is OK as it helps cut down on crime. Nope, instead, there’s cashless bail and softer policies towards criminals. We can’t even accurately report those numbers based on how crimes or incidents are categorized. It’s a mess.
He also just made it so that a bulk of the DOT funds go to Chicago roads with little left over for the remainder of the state… The tolls collected by the Chicago area are supposed to help that, but nooo, just keep reallocating funds around election time. Sure.

Time to start disabling updates and packages for a bunch of devices.
I’m redoing my laptop back up Windows 8.1 just to have it (lightweight and enshitter-free) and then dual booting Linux on there. Desktop already Linux but may download even more ISOs just to have them handy.
Will eventually setup p2p for anyone who wants them. I’ve got close to 200tb.
We spread word to migrate to federated and non US tech platforms to start taking their financial leg, then ad revenue drops and slowly they weaken. The weaker they are, the less political influence (aka purchasing power) they have!

Ohhh trust me I know it’s all about surveillance. I’m just meaning they’re going to negatively impact everyone everywhere without a second thought because they’ll get what they want in the end. Either more money or more reelections
This is actually an Android feature. iOS, too. It’ll give a random MAC or device MAC depending on what you want.
My MDM at work for Android-based handhelds I’ve configured to device MAC so I can geofence devices and keep track of them. If an employee connects to the employee network (which has to be configured by IT) we set it up with with device only MAC so we can add that device to the allowed list. Apple warns “it enables tracking” but if they ask I tell them in public it might be configured that way but we don’t care nor monitor that closely. If someone shares out the WiFi password by digging through settings, it wouldn’t matter as it’s not allowed.
Anyway, just thought I’d share both mainstream OSes do this now for a few years now.
