You might also need to add

set(CMAKE_POSITION_INDEPENDENT_CODE ON) 

to the CMakeLists to get it to compile.

Edit: For anyone else who is having issues with the UPlay version of Far Cry 3 and hopes to find a sliver of hope here: I utterly failed. The game refuses to work. I even tried dxvk and vgvoodoo. The only “solution” I found (short of just buying the Steam version) is running it on integrated graphics (780M).

I really don’t get the issue with kWh. Things are rated in W and we mostly care about the hours they’re powered on. If I wanna figure out how many kWh a PC that needs 300W used in 4 hours, I multiply 300*4. If I wanna know how many joules it used, I have to do 300*4*3600. Only one of those can be done in your head in 3 seconds.

Why care about the ideological stance of a company that holds a significant amount of your data?

High Speed is the second slowest cable and the slowest one still being sold. Last time I bought an HDMI cable, I didn’t even know there was anything slower than 1080p@60hz so I just assumed that was “Standard” and, by buying “High Speed”, I was getting something better. Yes, I should have done more research before buying but the point is that calling the slowest cable still being sold “High Speed” is confusing and deceptive. That’s why I want them to be forced to label the cables with the bandwidth or version.

Yeah, that’s why I said somebody needs to force them. Like how food can’t say chocolate if it doesn’t actually have chocolate.
